PROS: Monitor specs are market leading for ultra wide gaming monitors. This monitor is fast! - No dead pixels and virtually no backlight at 100% brightness. - An IPS display and G-SYNC compatibility are essential for me. - 400 nits is enough for non-HDR games. - Connected via DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI (v2.0), USB-C, USB 3.0 hub. The monitor stand itself is quite nice. There are 100 x 100 VESA mounting options with VESA mounting spacers included. - The ROG logo projected on the table could be synchronized with the CORSAIR ICUE software using the ASUS ARMOR CRATE software. CONS: - The body of the monitor looks like cheap and flimsy plastic. - The monitor stand has a frame made of the same cheap plastic in the form of a ring, which consists of two parts that are difficult to install and can easily break when installing (it looks like engineering). * UNCERTAIN: * DisplayHDR 400 certification (400 NITS) is not bright enough for HDR gaming. (Do HDR games even exist? If so, what are the HDR games called?) CONCLUSION: I am very happy with my XG349C monitor, my XG349C was not a lemon and works great. Note that your mileage may vary. THOUGHTS: I wall mounted my 34" ASUS ROG Strix (XG349C) Ultrawide Gaming Monitor (XG349C), eliminated the use of the monitor stand bezel, and was able to position the monitor from a sitting position in the future, making the large screen 34-inch -Ultrawide monitor more comfortable to use Q. I tried using the stand and found the monitor is too close to my desk (24 inches deep).
