Review on Upgraded High Resolution Parallel Lighting Printing by Wagner Witlin

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Produces amazing prints every time.

The Orange 30 is an affordable 3D printer. The print area is pretty standard for this price range at 120mm x 68mm x 170mm, making it a bit larger than usual in this price range. They tick the usual boxes with a 2k LCD screen (2560 x 1440 resolution) and come with resin and additional FEP film. Now for the specifics of this 3D printer. First, when you unpack it, you'll realize it's HEAVY. This thing uses a lot of steel in its construction. It is very tightly assembled. If you let it run you'll notice something else about how quiet it is. If you've had an Orange 10, you know the fan is pretty loud. It's a lot quieter, and quite frankly quieter than Photon or Mars. The Longer 30 also features an LCD overheat protection system to prevent overheating. The LCD display is very clean and easy to read. It also displays models well and has a really nice touch interface. Their resin that it comes with has a very low odor. They have their own special slicer and you can use Chituibox slicer which gives you more options to cut your prints. I've made several prints on it and never had a failure. It is properly aligned and ready to print from the factory. I was very impressed with the detail and it's great for printing 3D miniatures for role-playing games. Not everything is so good, this printer has one downside and that is the lid. You have to build it and it's held together with rubber bands. It's not as strong as the others. It works great and I can see why they do it to save shipping space and keep costs down. If you encounter any problems, Longer 3D has a good community on Facebook to help you with community support. They react quickly to problems and the community is also very helpful. This is definitely an advantage of this printer. Overall I was very impressed with this printer, especially compared to my FDM prints. It's messier (like Liquid Resin) but produces amazing prints every time.
