Although this light is red it is SUPER bright. The driver pulled over and told me he could see him a quarter mile away. To be honest, it's probably seen a lot further. It amazes me that something is so small and so bright. It's so bright that it's annoying to look at when I go to get my kid's bike, for example. I flipped it down and that did it. Now it's clearly visible and also casts a big red stain on the pavement! It doesn't come with a seatpost mount for a kid's bike, so I put it next to the footpeg. I would give it 5 stars except that it didn't have anything to mount to a kids bike and I had to do a bit of tinkering. But this is a great product. It has more lightning patterns than anyone could need, but oh well. This is not intended for a helmet. Don't even try.
