I had a different silicone case for a different remote and it felt stickier which helped keep the remote from sliding on the couch. I bought this case for the same reason, but it's not as sticky as the other one. My couch is too heavy to turn over, so I dread the day the remote falls back there. Another problem is that it doesn't fit my remote perfectly. I have the correct remote as shown in the ad, but it obscures the mute button a bit, which is annoying. I suppose I could take an X-acto knife and cut it, but that risks damaging the product, and besides I don't have to do that if it's advertised as fitting.
