I liked that it gave my siamese beta another place to hide. My fish are still not sure about the logs, but better not try to take them away. If you give them something, it's theirs forever. They even guard magazines when not in use. Their last tree trunks were attacked by the snails, who hated them. So now they are on guard to protect these magazines from pests. The logs give my fish multiple entrances and they create patterns to follow through each of the holes. The logs are of good weight, durable material and have a nice realistic look. I'm glad I bought two of these. You definitely won't be able to buy them at the price you listed at your local store.
