Beautiful and strong. Good value for money.

After an accident and a bike crash I decided never to make another manufacturer's carriers again. A little research and I bought MaxxHaul. Assembly was easy, but the instructions left a lot to be desired. Essentially, they don't exist. I chose the parts diagram. My Russian Urals got on without a stroller and firmly fastened. good and strong. I'm a little paranoid about another fall, especially since I usually work alone, and at seventy I don't like the idea of trying to adjust a 700+ pound bike. I decided to make a secondary cross brace and tie the arm. It attaches after the bike is in the MaxxHaul and removed before the bike is detached. The photo shows the end result. It's all 1/8" steel, even the tubes. Leveling feet provide secondary contact with the ground and expand the stand's position. The second set of brackets really immobilizes the front of the bike. I don't want anyone with lengthy explanations and calculations of the CG relative to tilt angle, but the cross brace increased the stand's tilt angle from 15 to 25 degrees from vertical I mentioned this because I want the reader to know that it wasn't just put together.
