I read the reviews about how it frizzes my hair but thought I'd give it a try anyway. I use hot rollers and attach them with the u-pins that come with the rollers. However, the pins do not hold the reel securely unless you sit still and move your head. Since I like to do other things while waiting for the curlers to cool, I used banana bobby pins in addition to the bobby pins. They are bulky and take up a lot of space. So I tried these clamps and they work great. Don't take up too much space on my dressing table. They fit perfectly on the velcro of the scooter and keep the scooter stable while I do the tasks I want. There's no curl at all, but that could be due to the clamps holding the reels taut under those plastic clamps.
