All websites say it fits 7" to 12" pots and pans. The same is written on the manufacturer's packaging that it came in. As you can see in the photo, the inner ring on the glass measures 8 1/8+. (it's a heavy eighth, more than an eighth less than 3/16). So it doesn't even fit in the 8" pan I tried to use it on. It's right on the edge of the pan. That's fine for a two-minute egg, but if you try to boil water or cook something that evaporates, condensation is likely to run down the outside of the pot or pan and onto the burner. And a 7 inch pot or pan will touch the glass and possibly crack the glass due to the heat of the pot or pan. . I have decided to send it back and the replacement should arrive tomorrow. I just hope the replacement is the right size. Update: The replacement came very quickly, but it's the same size as the first one. I have contacted Revain and they will review the product description. I have since sent back a replacement for a refund. Haven't gotten another replacement since, it will likely be the same result.
