good replacement for a poorly designed part
I don't know what the VW/Audi engineers were thinking when they decided plastic coolant parts were better than aluminum parts. I believe that many coolant system repairs involve improper coolant selection; causes accelerated decomposition of aluminum; This part uses an O-ring slot to prevent displacement and leakage. Do not overtighten just one or both bolts. and this part will work as intended.
