Review on 💡 AXILAND 12-inch Industrial Black Copper Moravian Star Ceiling Light with Clear Glass Shade - 1-Light Fixture by Angel Yergeau

First of all this light is really nice, looks good with an incandescent bulb. I'll probably add a second one that fits. My wife loves it and now that it's installed I'm happy with it too. Now for the criticism. I just installed this light yesterday and agree with other reviews it was quite difficult to install. Installation not well thought out. I considered building my own mount, but ended up mounting it close enough to be flush, which I was happy with. It strikes me as odd that the people making this light obviously didn't attempt to install it. I'm sure the mount is worth a penny, they really should have something easier to work with. I installed some lights and that was by far the worst. I'm in the process of coating/painting this room a bit and I need to remove the fixture. I really hope I can find another mount when I move the jig. In addition, the light hole is very small. I bought a pear shaped LED bulb to fit this fixture and if I really took the risk of shoving it through that tiny hole I was pretty sure the bulb's thin glass would shatter. Then it was quite difficult to screw the light into this tiny hole with one hand. I really hope that the LED will last 15 years. By the way, I dropped the whole lamp during installation, but it broke when I dropped it with my foot (oops). I was shocked that the light didn't shatter into a million pieces, it seems very fragile. So I think this light is harder than it looks. My finger will eventually heal, thank god the lantern wasn't destroyed or even damaged. Hence three stars for the crappy mount and tiny hole. A bonus star for how nice it looks.
