The design of the coupler pocket is excellent and the zinc plating + power coating on the pocket and shackle helps to minimize rust. Even the "U-Bolt" is cadmium plated and has a protective rubber coating to prevent rusting. The clutch tensioner clip not only eliminates the "rattle" but is also a good anti-theft device (you will need tools to remove the receiver). An added bonus is that the strut can be mounted vertically or horizontally. This is the package that all SUVs need in their emergency towing kit.
