It makes my rescue bag a little heavier but well worth it. All surfaces (even threaded parts) are hard powder coated which I expect will last for years and through many restorations. The materials used and the amazing quality seem excellent. I like that the orthotic's rubber isolator fits snugly and stays in place. You can see that thought and care has gone into the design, everything is well fitted and properly chosen.

The design of the coupler pocket is excellent and the zinc plating + power coating on the pocket and shackle helps to minimize rust. Even the "U-Bolt" is cadmium plated and has a protective rubber coating to prevent rusting. The clutch tensioner clip not only eliminates the "rattle" but is also a good anti-theft device (you will need tools to remove the receiver). Good easy kit to transport in a truck. It has everything you need and a few extras that I don't think are needed. Rubber washers designed to prevent rumble or scratches seem pointless as the whole thing can rumble in the clutch if you leave it sitting while driving. If you're using this to get out of muddy ground, there's a good chance you'll lose the rubber washers anyway when you have to pull out the D-ring to attach your leash to it. Sturdy material, 2 D-ring styles (red and black), decent packaging and good design. I think it depends on the bolt lock hole on the hitch receiver, but mine is a little far back so this hitch goes in a little deeper. This resulted in the only way I could install the clutch tensioner (see photos) so that its edge pushes the D-ring out a bit so it doesn't appear like it's being pulled off by gravity. This is a nice 2 inch receiver D ring. It feels pleasantly high-quality and consists of a one-piece shaft. or vertical - very beautiful.
