Very Heavy Shoes (16.1 oz.) - the sole of the shoe is very heavy. When you hang your shoes on your foot, the shoes want to fall under their own weight. I have two other versions of Rockport deck shoes - this model weighs over 4 ounces. heavier than other Rockport deck shoes I have (12 oz each). In a way, it's almost like wearing spiked shoes. The fit is snug but slightly looser in the heel area than my other shoes. The shoes are pleasant to look at - the sole seems to have a good grip, but it is dense (maybe there is a metal stiffening element inside - I don't know).
