I saw this and thought I might need a good cutting tool. So I took it. Didn't know it was for a lathe. I don't have a lathe (yet). So my usage was a bit unorthodox. Basically I have an assembled overclocked rotary tool that I made from an old drill press and some other things I had in my workshop (btw, DO NOT try this at home, work or ever!). Thanks to some warranties and insurance policies I nullified when it was made it will rotate a lot of things, not just the usual rotary tool bits. For example this thing! No, it's not safe for practically anyone but me who knows the capabilities of my hacked homemade rotary tool, and even then not very safe without a ton of PPE, and I'm still a bit scared of it, mamo =) But I can do this use a cutter in there! Which leads me to the conclusion that even if I don't use this thing at all, as some would say I could or should use it, it works great! This thing eats through almost every material I've come across, even to the point where it helps me fix a broken faucet out of my set of faucets and dies. It's Cr-V steel and it cuts straight into it like I'm in cold butter with a steak knife, love it! A very useful tool for that mad machine/mad prophetess or normal thinking people who own a lathe and plan on using this piece the way it was meant to be used. And I haven't broken it or any of the stakes yet, despite my blatant mockery of the poor thing! I recommend!
