This is a good chain brake, especially for the price. It's really well made and gets the job done. I'm in industrial services so I've used this a few times on a few smaller networks and it's worked great. A chain tensioner will come in handy. I haven't put any pressure on it yet, but it's made well enough that I'm sure it can handle it. I use it to hold the chain in place while I insert the main link. I don't like tensioning the chain because all that will happen is that the shaft will either bend or break. It can only cause a lot of unnecessary damage. This is something I would highly recommend to any maintenance person and even the home mechanic. Remember this is not made for large chains so check your chain size first so you know you are getting the correct chain break.
