They have a comfortable weight. I really like the size of these teaspoons but that's okay. I hand washed these spoons and placed them in a rack to air dry. I don't use a dishwasher so the shavings on the stems came from hitting each other when I put them in the drying rack. At first I thought it was water stains so I went to wash them and found that they were indeed damaged! I haven't even used these teaspoons and they look awful. I actually think it's a manufacturing defect because I have several Oneida teaspoons that are over 30 years old, not chipped or damaged but definitely showing their age. I won't be returning them but I'm looking for more tablespoons. .
