Among the compact and compact chain tools, this one stands out. When I received it I immediately transferred it to the Shimano chain and knocked out the chain pin without using any other tricks to get the lever off the tool. In other words, I only used my hands. The bottom line is this tool works without driving you crazy and I love the fact that it has a shelf to center the pin after you've driven it in so the connection doesn't get stuck. This is a much better method than bending the chain until the link thaws. By the way, this is not a shop tool. Like other chained mini tools, it does not replace a full size magazine tool.
