Review on Kizmos Detachable Silicone Straws Assorted by Josh Akin

Pad is important - Wish Straight was an option

I have tried stainless steel, glass and reusable plastic straws. Some members of my family claim that stainless steel gives the drink a metallic taste. The thick walls of glass straws require the straw to have a fairly large outside diameter while still being somewhat narrow in the middle. The plastic ones work pretty well but tend to warp (kids bite them I suspect). These silicones 1) add no flavor, 2) have thin walls, and 3) can bend and mishandle and return to their original shape. However, they require the use of a "liner" in the mouth. Well, requirement can be a strong word, but if you don't use them, they tend to break down on their own while you're using them. I also suspect that children get holes when they start biting, but so far it hasn't been a problem. I really wish they came with at least 1 straight "mouthpiece" - I personally don't understand why the kink is needed and it makes cleaning a bit more difficult as you can't see through the kink well enough to know for sure , whether they are clean or not, since they can be bent and bent, this problem is easy to solve. But they talk about connecting several straws together. it would also be much better with a straight piece than a curved one. They fit into the dishwasher's cutlery tray and are wide enough in diameter that they 1) won't fall through and 2) appear to come out nice and clean on the inside, so a great asset for easy cleaning. The inner diameter of the straw is much wider than most straws you use, which works fine for me. However, as they tend to break down on their own, I doubt they would work with thick smoothies (the main use of a thick straw), but I haven't tried them yet so can't say for sure. . (it's too cold for that now). SUMMARY: A great option for families who love straws but don't want to constantly throw plastic in the ocean.
