I have a slider in the hallway (from the front door to the dining room). Its length is about 8 feet. It will never stay in place on hardwood floors due to the high volume of traffic and the fact that two large dogs are walking around. I washed the floor with hardwood floor cleaner, laid three strips the length of the skid on the floor, placed the skids on top of the strips, and then went over the skids to "glue" the skids to the strips. HE DOES NOT MOVE. Things worked great. I bought another roll to secure small rugs around the house (at the front door) and under dog bowls. In addition, it does not attack hardwoods. I have dark cherry floors and have taken and removed this material with no damage.
