Use with a lead-acid battery for outdoor lighting. My previous timer died. This unit features a timer, ideal for outdoor lighting - when the sun goes down, as determined by the loss of solar charge power, the light will turn on for a period of 1 to 23 hours, then turn off. Exactly what I needed. Follow the instructions as the battery type and some other setup procedures are not obvious. A NOTICE. This device is designed for use with lead-acid batteries (3 different types are supported) and will NOT charge lithium batteries.
