Not "required " but highly recommended!
For a while I tried to minimize the amount of product I used to process the film and skipped Photo-Flo because I figured I could just rinse longer. I've spent a lot of time with twisted and dirty negatives. It's worth every penny. No rinsing and no dusting will ever produce a result as good as adding a few drops of this product.
