As with any product, it’s rating is directly related to how you use it. And if you need a light for a very specific purpose (I.e. only on a bike) this isn’t the best light. That said it is extremely versatile, and that really increases its use. The light is plenty bright, at night you will be seen far into the distance, and the different modes including a few different flashing modes make it hard not to be seen. The clip on the light is long and narrow, so it can clip to lots of different sized straps and 3 straps are included for each light (so total of 6 straps). These straps are probably best used for attaching the light to your bike or your arm, but with the clip you can put it on a shirt or saddle bag or anything with a loop of cloth. So if you’re looking for solely a bike light, there are probably better options. And if you’re looking a light for running, you might be able to find one better for your needs. But if you need a red blinking light for anything, this is a really good option.
