This jug is made of heat-resistant borosilicate glass and can withstand temperatures from 0 to 300 degrees Fahrenheit. Since it's thin, it's a good idea to warm it up with warm/hot tap water before pouring anything hot. in to keep it from being destroyed. It has a beautiful stainless steel lid with an airtight seal and holds 50 oz. It has a comfortable grip, an anti-drip spout and a large opening that allows your hand to reach the bottom and clean it. Haven't tried hot drinks in it yet, but I would take my own advice to fill it with warm/hot tap water to allow it to acclimate before pouring the hot beverage.
