I was a bit worried after reading some of the negative comments here that the hose didn't fit and the quality wasn't very good. I took a chance as this is two thirds the price of the original part. It fits snugly on the broken OEM hose I have. It was easy to replace on my vacuum cleaner. As you can see from my photos, there are two small differences: the plastic tongue (black instead of red) and the foam padding. The original gasket has adhesive on one side so it (sort of) stays in place. General no. I doubt the factory gasket will actually seal the pipe as it's pretty loose. Anyway, I removed the factory seal and installed a new hose. In terms of quality, I find them similar to the factory. The weight is similar. The hose doesn't look too thin. Time will tell if it's as durable as the OEM. I believe the reason the hose broke at this point is due to flexing and stress during use. If I'm careful I think this hose will last a long time.
