Adhere perfectly to the carpet, there are few defects.
This velcro sticks GREAT to the carpet but the "sticky" side doesn't stick to the rubber mat that well so I deducted a point. With other substrates, the sticking problem probably won't be the same problem. However, attaching two rows of tape keeps the mats from shifting, so this seems to work. It was easy to use.
