We bought this feeder for our 4-month-old White Shepard. She could clear her food bowl in 60 seconds. When we bought it, we were feeding her 1.25 cups of food twice a day.She figured out the "bop-to-feed" mechanism the first time. She has a rhythm to her feeding now; bop, clear all doors, bop, clear all doors, repeat until done. We know she is done when we hear her continuously bop the station. It takes 5-10 minutes for her to eat now.We have increased her food intake, and the "bowl" isn't big enough to hold her full serving of 2 cups, so we have to wait until she finishes round one and give her the last 1/2 cup in the second round. Not that big of a deal, but a bigger bowl would be nice. She has broken two doors off and regularly bops the station hard enough to get the bowl to pop off. Luckily she is a fur-covered food vacuum, and the food that spills out is swiftly cleaned up.She seems to enjoy it, and she has to work for the food a bit. It keeps her and us entertained for a short period. It is well worth $30. We will most likely buy another one once our baby velociraptor has broken all of the doors off the one we have.
