Use “mini bits” with this feeder.

Our dog took some time to catch on to this, but she really seems to enjoy it now. Recommend using Kibbles and Bits "mini bits.” Larger bits will not drop through the feeder openings. You can put about 3 handfuls of bits in the center feeder compartment. This item came with a replacement flip up lid in case one gets broken. So far our dog has not tried to chew on the toy. She can also see through the clear cover when it’s empty and will stop. We’ve also enjoyed watching her and it has slowed…

Pros
  • He will be getting all his meals through this puzzle feeder! It’s great
Cons
  • May frustrate some dogs

Dog enjoys it on my review.

My dog is very food-driven and loves to use his nose. This is one of the favorite toys involving food, along with a couple others from Outward Hound. He didn't take long to learn to press the top and dispense more kibble, and he was already used to moving sliders and lids from other toys. He also is a non-destructive dog and doesn't chew on things, so I'm not sure how well it stands up to that.I have 3 issues:1 - The suction cup stickers don't allow the bottom to lie completely flat, so it…

Pros
  • Keeps puppy entertained! Can be used as food dispenser and to slow down fast eating.
Cons
  • My dog destroyed the toy in 3 days

This is an actual dog puzzle.

I believe dogs need mental stimulation just as much as they need physical stimulation. I have bought several dog puzzle toys and honestly most of them are pretty disappointing. This is the first one that I genuinely like. It has the typical slide doors, but the push down top to dispense treats under the lift lids is the star of this dog puzzle. It is really fun to watch your dog try and figure out what is going on and how they're going to get those treats. I have two dogs, my younger one was…

Pros
  • Trains Dog’s Intelligence: interactive treat puzzle game challenges your puppies to get their reward of treats, works your dog's mind while reducing boredom and destructive behavior like chewing, digging and excessive barking
Cons
  • May take too much time to prepare each use

Great feeding solution!

This was exactly what my little dog needed! She’s middle-aged and needed to slow down her feeding so that the food doesn’t come back up.🙁The level one feeding was easy for her to figure out right away, we are still working on level 2, but we have only had it a couple of days. I’m sure she will get it with practice.I’m very happy with this product and seller!

Pros
  • Made with non-toxic materials
Cons
  • May be too noisy for some owners or living situations

Suction cups aren't good

My pup loves it however she is an energetic lab that also scoots it all around. The suction cups don't do any good they send with it. Otherwise it's great.

Pros
  • Promotes healthy gums and teeth
Cons
  • May not be appropriate for dogs in a multi-dog household

Very fun for pup! on my review.

My dog needs to be trained with it for a bit but I can tell that it will help it slow down his eating while also providing much needed enrichment. I'm very excited to see how my pup fully learns the puzzle. The customer service from the business is also fantastic!

Pros
  • Portable and easy to take on-the-go
Cons
  • May not be interactive enough to hold dogs' attention

My puppyloves this puzzle!

My pup gets so excited when I fill it up! He hasn't quite gotten the button part down but he's super smart! May not be able to accommodate larger treats.

Pros
  • Can improve digestion
Cons
  • May not be able to accommodate larger treats

Entertaining for my opinion

It came with one of the pieces broken even though it was packaged in it’s own box, hence minus 1 star. I like that you can fill the top with the amount of treats you want to use for that session and the dogs learned quickly to press the top to get more treats, but then they still have to work to get them all. It took 2 dogs less than 6 minutes to dispense about a 1/3 cup of treats. They really enjoyed it and looked up at me for more.I have Jack Russells, so this helps keep their high energy…

Pros
  • Dog loves it !!!!
Cons
  • Food may get stuck in crevices

The edges of the doors that a dog would push to open the door are quite sharp. There is a plastic seam from the molding process. Yes. I could have tried to fill or sand these down, but I am not a game designer nor quality control expert, so rather than risk my dog bleeding again, we did a return.

Pros
  • Feeding & Watering Supplies
Cons
  • May not be appropriate for aging dogs

Slows down the fast eaters!

We bought this feeder for our 4-month-old White Shepard. She could clear her food bowl in 60 seconds. When we bought it, we were feeding her 1.25 cups of food twice a day.She figured out the "bop-to-feed" mechanism the first time. She has a rhythm to her feeding now; bop, clear all doors, bop, clear all doors, repeat until done. We know she is done when we hear her continuously bop the station. It takes 5-10 minutes for her to eat now.We have increased her food intake, and the "bowl" isn't big…

Pros
  • Encourages natural foraging instincts
Cons
  • May pose a risk of injury to dogs if not used properly

Dogs will enjoy this

My 3 year old husky loves this food puzzle. On day one she was lifting the doors with her nose to get the food, and now we are training her to press the top with her paw to drop more food to find. This "game" slowed down her eating so her stomach doesn't get upset. It is stimulating for her curiosity and she loves searching for treats in it. One of the best dog purchases I have made!

Pros
  • I liked that it came completely assembled. Like the colors and it’s easy to use.
Cons
  • Difficult to assemble

Toy is a Hit!: my feedback

Challenging toy that he really spends time with. He seems to enjoy dispensing the food sometimes more then eating it so I just put it back in the tray! Keep coming up with great toys please!

Pros
  • Not Easy to Tip Over: 4 non-slip rubber mats and weighted base hold the dog puzzle toy firmly in place when dogs eat and nudge and prevent the toy from tipping over
Cons
  • May not be readily available in all retail locations

So close to perfection.

After trying out a level 1 puzzle, I was curious as to how well my dog will perform with a level 2 puzzle. It definitely took more time for my dog to be comfortable with this level 2 puzzle than the previous one. After two or three times using this puzzle, he figured out how to get to the food that is hidden under the covers around the perimeter of the toy puzzle. The slid covers are also no match for him. He is still having some difficulty with the level 2 portion of this puzzle, the gigantic…
