These nuts are made from solid steel with a quality chrome finish. These nuts are the perfect upgrade to the factory nuts found on most Jeep and Chrysler products. These lug nuts are the same size as the original nuts so they will fit your existing wrench. Warning, some replacement nuts have a larger hex on the outside and you will need a new wrench to use them. The Original Equipment factory nuts on Jeeps (and most Chrysler vehicles) have a stainless steel cap and steel core. In areas where roads are salted in winter, substitute nuts will only last for 3-5 years. In this case, the cores swell and the stainless steel covers become detached or flake off.
