I have 2 Black Magic 4Ks and have been using 2 of these adapters for about a month with no problems. Anyway, we were filming a wedding last weekend and they BOTH decided to travel. None of them work with cameras even after changing 6 different NP batteries. We put in a battery, the indicator flashed for half a second and then went out. This happened to us JUST before the ceremony started and my whole world started spinning thinking I was letting 2 cameras die every 20 minutes because god knows black magic isn't known for its battery life. Luckily I had a large power supply in my car with a standard wall plug, so I used the camera's power supply for one of the BMs and the other conservatively with the three Canon batteries we have. The weirdest thing about this situation was that this item started working AFTER I charged the NP batteries. Almost like a charger bringing the batteries back to life? Seriously, this was one of the biggest issues we've ever had, so defer this article if you don't want to find yourself without a reliable power source right before your next gig.
