This is the material that OEMs use to wrap external electrical wiring harnesses (I know because I work for an OEM). The material repels water instead of absorbing it. TESA tape doesn't leave an awkward sticky residue on your electrical wiring when you remove it years later like "duct tape" does. Once you use this you will never go back to the tape. I originally ordered a different part number and found it to be the same fluffy Tesa felt tape used indoors. Be careful when using it outdoors as it will absorb water. Rest assured that this ad has been rated EXTERIOR. Although it never hurts to have both on hand.
