This dual monitor mount is a single heavy duty assembly. The desktop mount requires some assembly, but it was very intuitive and easy with the tools provided. This device requires about 2-1/2 inches of clearance under the back of the desk to get the clamps deep enough and works best when the back of the desk is square. The instructions say it's rated for 30 inches. Monitors up to 15lbs so fits my 9.7lb 27" monitor perfectly. The brackets are designed to have tension adjustment in most joints. One thing the instructions don't mention is the mounting brackets, which the monitor mounts are facing. There is a small ramp built into the part of the arm that goes into the arm, and this ramp needs to face the top of the monitor when attaching the arm to the monitor. as long as your cables are long enough, to get to your computer There are cheaper solutions but this device seemed well constructed and reliable, definitely top notch.
