doesn't last! for kitchen and dining room

I love how easy it is not to "monitor" your enzymes. Also, the durable stainless steel is the main reason I bought it. However, the small silicone lids, which lift up to release CO2, fall off too easily when cleaning - for the price. As soon as they fall off, the product becomes practically unusable. Some can be tried to put back on, but the silicone "ball" that goes through the hole in the lid breaks because the stainless steel is too sharp for it. I wish it was extra or so we could buy more, I would too. But using them one or more times before the little thing falls off won't be "passed down from generation to generation" as they tout. I wish I could write differently. What a great invention, but I think it still needs some work. After all, we pay a lot of money for something that will last at least a lifetime.
