Description of 🍽️ Trellis + Co. Stainless Steel Fermentation Jar Kit with Waterless Fermenter Airlock Lids and Pickle Helix Fermentation Weights for Wide Mouth Mason Jars - Includes Recipe eBook

KIT INCLUDES: 3 x 316 Stainless Steel Fermentation Lids with waterless silicone airlocks for wide mouth canning jars. 3 x Pickle Helix fermentation weight coils, to hold vegetables down during fermentation. FERMENT LIKE A PRO: Pro fermenters use nothing but stainless steel why shouldn’t you? Our fermenting lid kit has the smallest amount of plastic on the market! NO FUSS: The PickleHelix is easily removed for a quick bite and won’t displace brine and cause overflows like glass fermenter weights. They are extremely durable and automatically adjust to changing ferment volumes, compressing down to the mere thickness of a glass weight if necessary. WATERLESS AIRLOCKS: We ditched the pool of stagnant pathogen-filled water sitting right over your precious probiotic food. No need to top-off the water during those long ferments! Our one-way valves (“waterless airlocks”) are maintenance-free and they allow your ferments to be stacked in the cupboard or put on that smallest fridge shelf to save space. STAINLESS STEEL: This is the safest/cleanest possible material to use for food which is why all commercial fermenting equipment is made using Stainless Steel. Our patent-pending PickleHelix combined with our unique waterless airlock lid/valve is the only 100% medical-grade (316) stainless steel fermenting system for mason jars on the market!. BONUS: Free downloadable fermentation guide and recipe book, "Mason Jar Fermenting to Fit Your Lifestyle." 100% satisfaction guarantee with US based customer service.

What is a bad build?

So this is the first time I ordered it - out of three caps, one came with a valve torn out and frayed that couldn't be reused. I sent it back for a replacement. Guess what? The replacement came with the exact same problem. How does this material pass quality control? And of course the shipping/packaging method has something to do with it. I will not buy again.

Much luck! - Home Brewing & Winemaking

I ordered this set and for some strange reason (a joke for those who buy it?) the 3 coil spring weights were not separate in the box. They were hopelessly mixed. It was almost impossible to separate them. The seller could have just put them separately in a box. Wouldn't take up more space in the box. It took my husband 45 minutes to sort them. After all that I think they are durable. I look forward to using them. Like the Idea, they are made of medical-grade stainless steel. Cannot give them…

quality product. Excellent design. Very easy to use!

As a novice fermentor I have only used the Trellis and Co kit for a 3 day brine fermentation but it turned out to be a great suggestion. The kit is easy to use. Pack the vegetables, gherkin and gherkin spiral, screw on the lid with the ring - ready for the tasting! The design of the Pickle Helix is ingenious. Not only does it expand to keep the vegetables under the brine, but it also expands outward, allowing the thick spring to catch those sneaky swimmers before they can get past the shoulder.

The lid gasket can disappear

During my first batch of kraut made after receiving the lids and nibs, one of the lids I used was missing the gasket leaving only tiny holes in the lid. I only washed and unscrewed the lid a few times during preparation and found it was missing the last time. I think it was on initially but obviously didn't notice when it went off. As easy as the filling comes off, I expect some replacement parts to be free. Also, since I can't find the seal anywhere, I can't help but think it's in my cabbage…

Excellent goods! Tried pickled raw sauerkraut for the first time.

Great product! For the first time try fermented raw kohlrabi with onions, ginger and jalapenos. The end results were perfect. All you need to do is prepare the ground product according to several recipes, fill it with a one-liter jar, add a couple of full cabbage leaves as a "buffer", insert a spring and cover the jar with a lid close. Gateway coverage. Let it sit at room temperature for a few days, then store in a cooler place for the remaining 2 weeks. You will love the results, just like…

If you want to ferment in a 1 or 2 liter jar, these are your lids.

There are many ways to keep rebar under saline, but none are as safe and convenient as this product. For reasons of space, we use 1 liter fermentation jars - we don't have a lot of storage space. I checked many other options and finally settled on this one - I'm glad I did. We loved them so much we got back in line a few weeks after buying them to buy a second set, but imagine my dismay to find that the price had gone up quite a bit. I looked around and was able to find another set for the…

doesn't last! for kitchen and dining room

I love how easy it is not to "monitor" your enzymes. Also, the durable stainless steel is the main reason I bought it. However, the small silicone lids, which lift up to release CO2, fall off too easily when cleaning - for the price. As soon as they fall off, the product becomes practically unusable. Some can be tried to put back on, but the silicone "ball" that goes through the hole in the lid breaks because the stainless steel is too sharp for it. I wish it was extra or so we could buy more…

Very good, but could be even better.

Overall this is probably the best quality home proofer I've found. A spring clip works well for fermenting vegetables. With finely fermented material such as sauerkraut, it lands on the coiled end of the quill, becoming tangled in the quill, allowing small amounts to float to the top and over time exposing them to the air. The best way is to place a cabbage leaf under the spring to hold the shredded sauerkraut. As a possible option, a small stamped steel plate or cup could be placed over the…

Stainless steel doesn't break!

Just ordered and used my first set. One cap came with a broken silicone valve and although I believe stronger packaging will prevent this, the company responded and sent a new set of three valves although I have not received them yet. I am a past user of Pickle Pebbles and Pickle Pipes by Masontops. They served me well for a couple of years and then I discovered that the glass weights had cracked and actually broken during storage in the desk drawer in the rubber lined box they were shipped in!
