Stainless steel doesn't break!

Just ordered and used my first set. One cap came with a broken silicone valve and although I believe stronger packaging will prevent this, the company responded and sent a new set of three valves although I have not received them yet. I am a past user of Pickle Pebbles and Pickle Pipes by Masontops. They served me well for a couple of years and then I discovered that the glass weights had cracked and actually broken during storage in the desk drawer in the rubber lined box they were shipped in! I have contacted the seller of both Masontops and Revain, Kitchen Essentials and have received absolutely NO RESPONSE from either of them, although it is clear that the glass composition in Pickle Pebbles is now described as "soda lime" and not lead-free. like mine were. You have lost a customer! Trellis & Company's stainless steel set makes a lot more sense to me now! And they don't leave broken glass in my sourdough or rust from use. I love how spring really puts pressure on fermenting: both my sauerkraut and kimchi look perfect! I plan on buying another set AND EXTRA VALVES simply because the valves are definitely the weakest link in the kit! But, oh, what a clever system! I wish I could think about it!
