This jacket is pretty good. This is the quality I expect from Columbia. Boys are tall - size 14-16. I figured my son would still be able to wear it in a few years but I didn't realize plus size boys are 14-16 years old, I figured those were little boy sizes not big boys. My daughter who wears XS in women's sizes tried it on and it fits her perfectly. So since the jacket is black, it can really be worn by any gender. I saw another reviewer complain about the jacket's silver lining and claimed that this is indeed a girls' jacket. Many Columbia jackets and hats for men and women have this silver lining. This is another element that will keep you warm, and not just for show. The jacket is well made. My daughter says it is very comfortable and I suspect she will demand this jacket for herself.
