Review on toesox Women's Zoe Compression Five Toe Toesocks for Sports, Gym, Running, and Recovery by Jeremy Meza

Well-made, fits well, compresses well: be brave – take the pink one!

I switched to toe socks a while ago and got rid of all my traditional socks a long time ago. However, toe compression stockings are not easy to find. Having several pairs of ToeSox socks, when I saw them I thought they would be a good choice for compression. They turned out to be a good investment. My calf muscles sometimes get irritated when I run, and wearing compression during the day seems to keep them from cramping me when I sleep. There's nothing quite like being woken from a deep sleep at around 2am by a leg muscle clenched into a fist. I can get out of bed, stand on my feet and cling to the back of a chair with tears in my eyes in about 3/10 seconds, I thought. This is how really tight compression stockings justify their price. If you've never bought them, let me save you some time - the cheap ones don't do much. Those that compress are expensive, and in my experience inexpensive ones are just a waste of time and money. They're well made and give a nice firm grip from toe to knee (free of charge for a clever rhyme!). To make them work, I soak them in cold water with a few drops of Woolite and hang them to dry. Heat destroys spandex fibers, so avoid the dryer in the first place. Size wise I am a male US 8.5-9.0 / EU 41.5-42 and received it in a size small. They're a bit tiring to put on at first, but they fit snugger than average. I often find the toes of these socks too long, but all ToeSox socks fit perfectly, including the toes. Also, be bold and get pink. I usually wear a charcoal suit with dress shoes so they don't usually show up, but when they do it's always a conversation starter, especially in the gym locker room!

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
