I'm taking ballet classes to get a college fitness loan. My teacher suggested going to the store to get the right fit but said internet is acceptable if you want to read the charts and try your luck. I read a lot of reviews and saw that you should decrease your street shoe size by at least two sizes, but decided to read the length in centimeters instead. I chose 3D because I have a wide foot and I chose the length in centimeters that fits my foot length exactly. My teacher said they should be snug and that leather shoes (unlike canvas shoes) would stretch. To be honest these first class shoes are VERY tight on my toes and I was considering ordering another pair half a size bigger. But in second grade they were MUCH more comfortable and I feel like I'm the right size. So my advice is: choose by inches of length, choose your width, and give them time to adjust.
