I ordered this monocular and the "Schine" brand to see which one I like best. Visually they seemed about the same but another brand had a defective eyepiece so it is being returned. I like the size of this product and for the price the optics suit my use. I wanted something small and handy when looking for wildlife on bike trails; something that helps identify distant objects without taking my long-lens camera out of my backpack. It helps. I like that the strap attaches to the monocular with a metal screw. Another brand uses a lightweight sling but has a plastic screw that will likely break at some point. I also love the tripod that comes with this product, although I rarely use it. With a good camera and a great zoom, I may never attempt this with an iPhone, but I liked the fact that the iPhone attachment has a pull handle to attach the adapter to the monocular.
