Based on the way my bathroom drawers are set up, we had to position the two parts so they were only using about half of the adhesive portion but, so far, they are working great. Before the latches were installed, my cat completely opened the bottom drawer, pulled everything out and climbed in. From there she roamed around under the bathroom sinks getting into stuff that could hurt her. The other day she did pull the bottom drawer out but, thank goodness, the new latch kept her from opening it enough to crawl in. SO, I''m very happy with my new latches!
