Check your "Terminals "

I've had it for almost 2 years now (3 months left). I bought it ahead of time to build my van. It sat on the shelf for several months before I could get to this part of my build. I was having problems and couldn't figure out why. Back and forth with Elsa from tech support. Months and months go by and I still can't believe it. I was about to email the tech support lady because nothing I tried worked and I was very disappointed. It turns out that I connected the battery incorrectly and the inverter is not getting enough power. I bought a 24V car battery from A123 Systems. There are other connection points that look exactly like terminals but are actually attachment points. It's so easy to get confused. Add to this the purchase of the wrong BMS for the application. I replaced the BMS last month and everything is hooked up correctly. In fact, last week I balanced all the cells for the first time. It's amazing that I'm still alive and none of my equipment has been damaged or caught fire from all my mistakes. Everything works pretty smoothly. I would buy again and would recommend Giandel to anyone in need of an inverter. Just make sure you know what you're doing. The problem was that it was an unconventional battery that I wasn't used to working with. Word to the wise, use a multimeter and double check all connections before plugging them in. Also, make sure you have the correct wiring configuration beforehand. I didn't know about the diagonal-parallel configuration.

Pros
  • What you get
Cons
  • Not bad but...
