Limited battery life

First the benefits. The devices are lightweight and durable. The profile is also smaller and wears out more easily than our previous model which used 2 AA alkaline batteries. The selection of devices is also good. Two units are economical and convenient to use while the other is charging. Now for the cons, we bought this model to replace a similar device that used 2 AA batteries. The first thing we noticed is that the battery life is only 3-4 days as opposed to the older device which used two alkaline batteries which lasted up to 3-4 months. I expected less battery life with the internal battery, which is why I chose the dual unit. This allows one to be charged while the other is in use. However, I was hoping that the lithium-ion battery would last longer compared to nickel-metal hydride batteries. Another thing I don't like, and this applies to ALL remotes I've come across, is that they don't properly protect the shock button. on the remote control. In my opinion, all buttons should be recessed on the edge to prevent accidental pressing when the device is in a purse or trouser pocket. Can you imagine the useless torture of poor dogs just because you put the remote control in your pocket and ran around not knowing you activated it?

Pros
  • Convenient
Cons
  • Security
