I had my doubts but was pleasantly surprised. I couldn't use a long TV stand because I had to open the cabinet, which hinges and expands about 9 inches. This stand is the perfect solution. I was also concerned that a 43lb 55in TV might make it too heavy, but it looks like the £88 rating for the top of this stand might be correct. The stand is very stable and no tools are required for assembly. I was able to put it together in 15 minutes, it would have been quicker if all the tubes weren't wrapped in vinyl and plugged into the ends of the tubes.
