Review on 🔁 Enhanced IOGEAR MiniView GCS634U: 4-Port VGA USB KVM Switch with Audio and Cables by Prince Ruffins

I have three of these KVMs now, bought the first one almost 10 years ago and I have to say while I give it a 4 star rating it is a bit of a mixed kvm but i would buy it again as there really aren't many alternatives in the same price range. Pros: Cheap for a 4-port USB KVM Supports a fairly high resolution (easily 1920x1080) Once you get used to the combo switch, it becomes very natural and very fast. Supports all operating systems tested so far: Windows, Linux (CentOS, Mint, Raspbian, Ubuntu), Mac OSX, VMWare ESXi, FreeBSD ( PFSense, FreeNAS) Connected to Raspberry Pi, Orange Pi, PC of all kinds, Mac mini, etc. Disadvantages: likes doesn't care about having a Mac on the same switch as some PCs, but doesn't care about other PCs, the same thing happens with Raspberry Pis. Can be sensitive to the video output of some PCs and only appears occasionally (find it on the Optiplex 755). If you switch back and forth too fast or sometimes just randomly, the pc you switch to doesn't have kb/mouse. At this point, you should either shut down the computer or, in rare cases, disconnect it from KVM. Found this with Mac rather than PC, but happens to everyone. Some PCs just show their BIOS screen and then turn off. Can be sensitive to cheaper cables and produce a slightly less sharp/blurry image. My advice to you, if you are planning on getting this KVM, don't get too carried away with the setup and if you do, place the KVM in a place where you can easily reach it. Also for the monitor part, use good cables, not cheap materials, and make sure the KVM cables are making good contact. In general I am satisfied with the devices, the old devices seem better than the new ones, but in general they all work well.
