Terrible product - leaking despite several attempts to fix it

Bought two of these to upgrade the water filtration system in my new motorhome. When they arrived I really liked the falls. They looked strong and seemed pretty good for the price. I chose them because of the price and the positive reviews. I installed them following other guidelines for using lots of teflon tape on the threads of the fittings. So today I tested the system. and I couldn't be more disappointed or upset with this product. I had both canisters tight (filter not yet installed). I pressurized the system to about 35psi and it all came out. Boy they leaked. appears to be seriously screwed up. Sometimes not a bit. dripping almost constantly. When he grabbed a towel and turned off the water, the entire front wheeled storage compartment was wet. I examined the cases to find leaks. One of the screw connections was slightly leaking. I think I wasn't generous enough with the tape. However, most of the water drained from where the canister is screwed into the head. BOTH flowed from the same spot where the top of the canister meets the head. Based on that, I decided I wasn't tightening them enough. I squeezed them as hard as I could and they licked just as hard. I even thoroughly cleaned the canister top, threads and head just in case dirt is preventing a good seal. No luck, it's still leaked. See attached photos. This product really needs a rubber O-ring where the two parts come together and connect. I think these things were rated at around 75psi, if they can't handle half that pressure then these things are seriously defective. If only one had run out. Okay, maybe you have a bad one that happens. but both!? I really want them to work as I don't like getting in and taking them apart. I was thinking about finding some kind of gasket or putting PTFE tape on the canister threads. However, I don't want to risk them leaking again and risking serious water damage to the new RV. Because I made this modification, the warranty doesn't cover something like this. I also see no point in trying to get something to work that should work properly in the first place. What a waste of money and time! I'm just glad they were awful to begin with instead of later finding them leaking with wet floors and water damage. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND TIME. Don't buy this poorly made product and risk water damage wherever you install it, otherwise put a bucket under it just in case.
