Review on Heat-Resistant Electric Solenoid - Engineered for Optimal Performance by Alex Jones

I have read that they get hot and I was concerned that running diesel through a hot valve might not be the best idea. So I connected the valve to my battery before connecting it to the fuel lines. The device I received started smoking a few minutes after turning it on, but Revain refunded my money with no problems. Then I bought an electric ball valve and it works great. Update: The manufacturer contacted me and offered to send me one of their new remanufactured solenoids. I accepted their offer and this review is dedicated to this new solenoid. I repeated the test that made the first device smoke and got very different results. This device only felt warm to the touch (83F on my IR thermometer) after 10 minutes. This is such a drastic improvement that I have to wonder if the first module was just bad. But in any case, this device works as I expected. Thank you USSolid for great customer service.
