Review on 🪑 28-Inch Aluminum Black Heavy Duty Replacement Chair Base - S4180-2 for Offices by Jim Booth

The base is solid and fits snugly in my chair's lift cylinder. The finish at the top feels pretty good. The only problem was getting the casters into the holes in the base. My first attempts to land her were unsuccessful, so I decided to take a closer look at her before using force. There were rough spots on the casting/liner in the roller mounting holes. I wrapped 80 grit sandpaper around the handle of the bit holder and after a few minutes of work I was able to adjust the rollers properly. They really should be a little better finished when they leave the factory as I didn't expect to have to break out abrasives to install the casters (and a chair base without casters doesn't work very well).
