Review on ๐Ÿ”Š Enhance Your Desktop Audio Experience with USB Powered Computer Speaker โ€“ Easy Plug and Play for Windows PCs and Laptops by Jackie Rodriguez

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not bad but back. Good for computers. The speaker does not work, connected to the game console.

I bought this to have a separate speaker for my docked Nintendo Switch. I have a switch attached to my computer monitor and just need a cheap but decent second speaker so I don't have to constantly unplug and plug in the external speakers I use for my computer. The problem is that the Switch doesn't recognize the driver for that speaker and therefore no sound comes out, so it's basically useless to me. It is simply installed on a computer and connected to it using the plug-and-play principle. The sound is so-so. It's definitely not as loud as advertised. I currently use a Dell AC511 wired soundbar for both my computer and the Switch. This one also has USB audio and is only powered by that, so I think it's a good comparison. My switch immediately recognizes and installs the driver for the Dell Soundbar and I have no problem with it. When I compare this speaker to my Dell, it definitely has a tinny quality. To be honest, my plebeian ears wouldn't have noticed the can if it weren't for the direct comparison, but since I've had the opportunity to compare the difference is noticeable. It's just a harder and smaller sound overall. These speakers sound way better than any laptop or phone speaker, so it's still an important upgrade if that's what you're after. The volume is not very high either. I had it at 100% volume and it was as loud as the Dell at 45%. Do not get me wrong; it sounds good and i usually run my dell at 30% so this soundbar is loud enough and still fine. I think this is a good speaker for your money if you can get one for your computer. Avoid connecting to a gaming console, especially a Switch. I just wanted something cheap but I think my only option is to buy another Dell if all I want is a USB speaker.

Pros
  • Finally bought it
Cons
  • It's OK
