Review on ๐Ÿ’ง Windemere B2596LF OB: Sleek 2 Handle Centerset Bathroom Faucet for an Elegant Upgrade by Lawrence Crespo

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good working edge, plenty of space under spout, easy to install

Now I have 4 of these faucets - I go around the house and eventually swap out all the bathroom faucets. They look good and work great - at least for now. My oldest is about 2 years old. Installation is very easy *IF*: 1) You're not replacing a really old faucet - old faucets can take considerably more work 2) You can bend down and crawl under the sink to work - be careful, tall people with back pain 3 ) You have the right tools - it doesn't take much to put the faucet in place, but getting the old one out can be an adventure. My 30 year old existing faucets were my bane. They are on soldered copper tubing that goes into what are usually bad check valves (bad rubber washers). To replace the lines with compression fittings, I have to turn off the water in the house, unsolder (or cut if the lines will do) the old valves, and then install new 1/4 turn compression valves and flexible compression lines. Once that's done I'll be ready to use the old faucet. A really old faucet may be so badly corroded that the nuts won't come off no matter how hard you try. If you can loosen them with oil and energy, all you have to do is loosen a few nuts. If not, take a hacksaw and start cutting them out. Clean the area around the old faucet, then slide in the new one and screw it in - it's very easy to put in place. : Teflon tape, plumbing compound, plumbing putty, etc. They help prevent leaks)

Pros
  • Traditional design
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
