I had a HUGE problem with the new track I bought. For a week I tried to get him to go flat and stay on the carpet. The company told me to put heavy books and other things on it to make it heavier and I did but it didn't help at all. I've tried different brands of double sided carpet tape, waffle weave, 160# doggy and nothing was holding this thing in place. So I searched and found this band that seemed to work for others and decided to give it a try. Well, let me tell you all that I'm NOT sorry. This material is beyond sticky. My runner has been down for over a week and hasn't moved a hair. I love this product. I placed it around the edge of the rug. The corners and sides didn't open at all. It didn't leave a sticky residue either. The company also sent me follow-up emails asking if everything was to my satisfaction? Yes, yes, there is. As you can see later, the sides and corners remain flat, so you won't trip or bend down to put it back in place. HOORAY!
