Making English paper appliqué and some hand appliqué. I have tried almost all needles of different sizes, lengths and brands. These are without a doubt the most amazing needles out there. The length of the modiste makes it easy to make PE foam appliques and appliques and they slide easily across fabric. That would be enough to favor them, but what sets them apart from all the other needles I've tried is the eye. I wear trifocals and find it difficult to thread a needle without a needle threader or magnifying glass. Not so with these. Your eyes are the perfect size. It's big enough that you can see it without a magnifying glass, but not that big that you cannot easily thread the needle through the fabric. This is not to break the thread or make large holes like some self-threading needles or large eye needles I've tried. I will order more and give the rest away. I only wish they shipped via Revain Prime so I could get them quicker, but it was worth the wait!
